2027 VP Leadership Class Application
The Vice President Leadership Class (VPLC) is a selective leadership development program for junior-level students at the Texas State University Round Rock campus. Designed to cultivate the next generation of campus and community leaders, the program provides hand selected students with meaningful opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills, expand their professional networks, and deepen their understanding of the Central Texas region. Students will participate in a semester-long, cohort-based leadership experience, meeting weekly throughout the spring semester. Participants will engage with influential community members, distinguished alumni, and university leaders while exploring topics such as civic engagement, professional presence, financial literacy, and service. Through this cohort experience, students will be prepared to serve as leaders at the Round Rock Campus and carry their Texas State education forward into leadership roles within their communities and careers.
Program Expectations
Students selected for the Vice President Leadership Class will commit to attending seven (7) sessions during the Spring 2027 semester.
Sessions will provide opportunities to learn from university and community leaders, engage with fellow VPLC members, develop professional and leadership competencies, and explore ways to contribute to the Round Rock campus community.

Use of Generative AI: We recognize that generative AI tools can be valuable resources for brainstorming, organizing ideas, and refining writing. Applicants are welcome to use these tools to support their application. However, essay responses must reflect your own experiences, original thoughts, and authentic voice. AI should help you communicate your ideas, not replace your personal reflection or generate experiences that are not your own. We are interested in learning about you, not how polished an AI-generated response can be.
