Departments that are present at the Round Rock Campus may hire students to assist with their various needs. The positions may be regular student employment, work-study student employment, Graduate Assistantship (GA), or Doctoral Assistantship (DA).

    Qualified students with or without work-study funding are eligible to apply for this position.

    *This position is not a Graduate Assistantship and will not qualify an international student for an in-state tuition waiver. 

    *Position could extend to the summer semester with excellent job performance.


    • Can work Monday - Thursday from 8:00 am to 11:30 am.*
    • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours during their employment. 
    • Excellent written and oral English communication skills are required.
    • Experience and/or knowledge regarding small office operations and equipment.
    • Has experience working with Microsoft Office Suite Programs
    • Enjoys working with the public and diverse populations.
    • Can work in a fast-paced environment with ease.
    • Is dependable and demonstrates responsibility by completing tasks timely and adhering to work schedules.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Front Desk Coverage 
    • Answer phones and direct calls
    • Help and greet visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
    • Clerical office work
    • Assist with special projects and campus events.

  • This is a Writing Consultant position, which will begin in the spring 2024 semester. All majors are welcome to apply. 

    Must have:
    Minimum 3.0 GPA
    ‘B’ grade or better in first-year writing
    ‘B’ grade or better in all other writing-intensive classes
