Academic Student Services

Academic advisors for Round Rock campus students are available by virtual appointments to help guide your academic progress and experience.

Academic advising for current Texas State students is provided by academic advisors and/or faculty. All students wishing to meet with a Texas State advisor are required to make an appointment.

To make an advising appointment, visit the Academic Advising website, and locate your corresponding advising center to find the number you can call to schedule this appointment. 

For graduate student advising, please call the office of the graduate college at 512.245.2581.

The Academic Student Services office can verify students’ academic records with the Registrar’s signature stamps or the university seal.

Our student services team is available to provide information about any of our undergraduate, certificate or graduate programs. 

FERPA is the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and it protects the privacy of the student education records and guarantees students’ access to their own records.

Visit the Financial Aid website for all information regarding financial aid and scholarships. At this time, we do not have a representative on the Round Rock campus for these inquires. 

Call 512.245.2315 or send an email to the financial aid office in San Marcos to speak with a representative about any questions you may have. 

Texas State BobcatCards can be ordered online (FIRST student ID's only), instructions on this process and how to submit your ID photo can be found here. 

For replacements and reissues of your BobcatCard, please contact ID services at 512.245.2297.

To protect the integrity of your Academic Record, we require your written authorization and documentation verifying your name, social security number or date of birth. Faxes and emails are not acceptable and all photocopies of required documents must be notarized.

Please use the Personal Information Update Form to authorize us to change your name, social security number or date of birth on your Academic Record. Any change in name will be reflected on all university documents, class rosters, official transcripts, student records, diplomas, etc.
