What is the official name of Texas State's campus in Round Rock?
The official name of Texas State University’s Round Rock Campus is Texas State University Round Rock Campus (RRC). It was previously known as the Round Rock Higher Education Center (RRHEC).

Can I complete my degree by taking classes only on the Round Rock Campus?
Please note that programs are expanding in fall 2023. Check back for updated information.
It depends. Currently six departments are housed on the Round Rock Campus. If you are enrolled in Nursing, Communication Disorders, Respiratory Care, Health Information Management, Radiation Therapy, and Physical Therapy degree programs, you can take all the junior and senior level as well as graduate level classes on the Round Rock Campus. For other degree programs, class offerings may vary each semester. Please check with your college advisors for clarification.

If I complete my degree at the Round Rock Campus, what will my diploma say?
Students who complete their degree requirements at the Round Rock Campus earn a degree from Texas State University. The diploma does not specify which campus students attended.

Can I take all of the coursework required for a Texas State degree at the Round Rock Campus?
For bachelor’s programs offered in Round Rock, lower-division coursework must be completed at the San Marcos Campus, another institution, or a community college. The upper-level coursework (junior and senior levels) can be completed at the Round Rock Campus (RRC) if classes are offered on campus in person or made available to take online. For master’s programs offered in Round Rock, the coursework can be completed by taking either in person classes on campus or online.

If I enroll in courses at the Round Rock Campus, will I be studying with the same faculty members as in San Marcos?
Most faculty members who teach courses at the Round Rock Campus also teach in San Marcos. Even when faculty members teach only in Round Rock, they are selected on the same basis as faculty members in the same program in San Marcos. The classes offered at the Round Rock Campus are of the same rigor and quality as the classes in San Marcos.

Will I need to go to Texas State's San Marcos for student services?
Students have access to student services either in person on the Round Rock Campus or remotely with service departments on the San Marcos Campus. In person services currently include Library, ITAC, Campus Recreation, Student Health Center, Counseling, Testing, Disability Services, Success Coaching, Writing Center, and limited Registrar services. Many other support services team such as Academic Advising, Financial Aid, the Veteran Affairs Office, Student Learning Assistance Center and Career Services, work remotely with Round Rock students from the San Marcos Campus.

When are classes typically offered at the Round Rock Campus?
Please note that programs are expanding in fall 2023. Check back for updated information.
It depends on your program requirements. Courses in College of Health Professions are offered during the day on campus, and there will be also off- campus clinical sites you may travel to. Many classes on the Round Rock Campus are offered after 5 p.m. or beginning at 6:30 p.m., giving the student time to leave work and arrive on campus.

Can I simultaneously enroll in courses on Texas State's San Marcos Campus and the Round Rock Campus?
Yes. Many students enroll in courses on both campuses each semester. Since Texas State has a single degree inventory, courses taken on either campus apply to Texas State degrees in the same way.

Is the Round Rock Campus accredited?
Yes. Texas State University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degrees. The scope of regional accreditation extends to the Round Rock Campus, an approved off-campus instructional site. Texas State University including the San Marcos and Round Rock locations have a single administration, faculty and budget and are therefore, accredited as a single institution.

Yes. Since Texas State University has a single faculty, a single student body and a single inventory of degree programs, all programs with professional accreditation that are offered in San Marcos also have the same professional accreditation in Round Rock.
